Personal Awakening Through Self-Compassion:
A Journey Connecting You to Your Magnificence
In this six-month directed transformation program, you will embark on a personal journey to navigate deep inner connection to yourself, including connecting to the Divine in you. The goal of this program is to awaken the magnificence that lives in you, so that you can live a more fulfilled, purposeful life.
This program contains elements of teaching, reflection, coaching and personal insight. I will be your Guide as we map out your personal destination points on the journey to fulfillment, purpose, and awakening.
The Personal Awakening Roadmap:
Preparing for the Journey
Your journey begins with a 90-120 minute Deep Dive session in which I will get to know you on a deeper level, understand what is important to you, and develop the roadmap that we will use on our six month journey. We will get clear on your goals, hopes and desires for what you want to be different in your life.
Destination #1: Parts Work
In this foundational part of the journey, we will look at the concept of Parts Work, helping you understand what it is, how to identify and connect with your Authentic Self, and how to identify and work with the primary parts that show up in your life. In addition, during this “stopover” you will learn how to develop a practice of dialogue between your Parts.
Destination #2: Self-Compassion
Self-compassion is a cornerstone to personal growth and one of the most important factors in helping us experience the depth of peace and joy in our lives that we all crave. At this destination, we will define what self-compassion is and isn’t, why is it so critical to spiritual growth, how are your parts interfering with it, and ways to nurture self-acceptance. You will also have the opportunity to complete between-session “Compassion Challenges” and a Self-Compassion Assessment.
Destination #3: Stillness
Connection to our Parts of Self requires that we understand our relationship with stillness. At this destination, we will work with the importance of a stillness practice, define the many forms stillness can take, and create a plan for stillness that works for you in your life. Because the body is a critical part of stillness, we will explore the role your body plays, and how to create safety structures for fear and/or trauma.
Destination #4: “The Void”
What if you could make an ally of your deepest fears? Knowing the shadow side of Self is a critical part of any journey to Personal Awakening. Most of us have very creative ways of avoiding our fears, our shadow (parts of The Void) and the discomfort they hold. But as Alanis Morissette sings, “The Only Way Out is Through.” So at this destination, we will explore The Void, what is it and why it is so scary to us. We will identify your preferred routes of escape to avoid it and look at the interplay of courage and vulnerability.
Destination #5: Nature
Nature is a fabulous teacher to finding our center, the place from which self-compassion originates. At this destination, we will examine how nature can be used as a guide to help you return to center. We will also explore the role of beauty, wonder, awe, and magicalness in your life, and we’ll look at the perplexing nature of longing, and how it can push us forward or hold us back.
Destination #6: Ceremony and Ritual
At our final destination, we will explore how ceremony and ritual can play a role in helping you solidify the creation of the life you want. These ceremonies and rituals need not be super-formal; rather, we will work to develop ways that work for you to mark the things that are important to you. We will create this together. It may be a Guided Journey, a Rite of Passage to let go of/bring in things in your life, or identification of a talisman (a tangible symbol) to remind you of YOU.
